General dentistry

Conservative dentistry deals with the prevention and treatment of dental caries. The basic procedures in the field of conservative dentistry include removing caries and filling cavities. The procedure, performed under local anesthesia, is completely painless. The materials used for reconstruction restore both the function and aesthetics of the tooth.

Untreated caries leads to pulpitis (inflammation of dental pulp) and periodontitis.
Bacteria within a deep carious lesion affect the dental pulp and cause inflammation, periapical lesions and pain. During endodontic treatment, the tooth canal system is cleared of bacteria and tightly sealed.

Proper root canal treatment requires a doctor to have very good knowledge of tooth anatomy and morphology of the root canal system, but also large patience. The modern methods of endodontics make it possible to perform root canal treatment painlessly and successfully.

Although the root canal treated tooth is already ‘dead’ and becomes darker with time, it has a chance to be preserved for many years. It can even still play an important role in prosthetic restoration.

For a beautiful smile and a better quality of life!
